The “Industrial Belt Cross-Border Cooperation: IBI High-Level Business Dialogue with Ambassadors to China from Multiple Countries” was successfully held at the IBI Digital Economy Headquarters.

On the afternoon of February 11, the “Industrial Belt Cross-Border Cooperation: IBI High-Level Business Dialogue with Ambassadors to China from Multiple Countries” was successfully held at the IBI Digital Economy Headquarters.

Ambassadors and diplomatic representatives to China from Croatia, Samoa, Burundi, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Georgia, Albania, and Nepal attended the event, including H.E. Mr. Dario Mihelin, Ambassador of Croatia to China; H.E. Mr. Albert Luamanuvae Mariner, Ambassador of Samoa to China; H.E. Mr. Telesphore Irambona, Ambassador of Burundi to China; H.E. Mr. Sinisa Berjan, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Bosnia and Herzegovina to China; H.E. Mr. Paata Kalandadze, Ambassador of Georgia to China; H.E. Mr. Novruz Ceta, Minister-Counsellor of the Embassy of Albania in China; and Ms. Sabita Nakarmi, Commercial Counsellor of the Embassy of Nepal in China. Representatives from the China Chamber of International Commerce were also present. Mr. Zhang Qi, Executive Secretary-General of the Sustainable Development Committee of the China Chamber of International Commerce, as well as Ms. Lydia, among others, also attended the event.

Participants engaged in in-depth discussions on industrial collaboration and new growth pathways amid the global wave of digital economy development.

The event aimed to build a high-level and pragmatic international industrial dialogue platform. Through an in-depth presentation of IBI’s cross-border industrial internet strategy, the dialogue sought to align national industrial policies with market opportunities, explore bilateral and multilateral cooperation potential, and inject new momentum into digital trade cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative.

Guest speeches

At the opening of the event, Mr. Qian Xiaojun, Founder and CEO of IBI, warmly welcomed the attending ambassadors and representatives on behalf of the company. In his keynote remarks, he noted that as a pioneer of China’s industrial internet sector, IBI is accelerating its cross-border strategic deployment and is committed to leveraging digital technologies to connect global industrial resources. He emphasized that open connectivity is the core engine of new global industrial growth, and expressed IBI’s willingness to deepen cooperation with all countries in areas such as the digital economy and industrial upgrading, jointly cultivating new growth drivers and opening up a new chapter of mutually beneficial development.

Following the keynote, ambassadors and representatives delivered remarks in turn, introducing their respective countries’ investment environments, key industries, and cooperation visions. All expressed strong interest in deepening practical cooperation with IBI and pursuing shared development opportunities.

H.E. Mr. Dario Mihelin, Ambassador of Croatia to China, highlighted Croatia’s strategic position as a member of the European Union, its high-quality infrastructure, and its skilled multilingual workforce. He cited landmark China–Croatia cooperation projects such as the Pelješac Bridge, and pointed out that Croatia’s strengths in green energy and port logistics align closely with IBI’s integrated model of platforms, supply chains, and digitalization.

H.E. Mr. Albert Luamanuvae Mariner, Ambassador of Samoa to China, introduced Samoa’s potential as a digital economy hub in the South Pacific. He proposed exploring the feasibility of establishing a representative office or regional center in Samoa to optimize regional logistics, build two-way digital trade corridors, and better serve Pacific Island markets.

H.E. Mr. Telesphore Irambona, Ambassador of Burundi to China, emphasized Burundi’s strengths in agricultural products such as coffee and tea, as well as its significant potential in key minerals including nickel and rare earth elements. He expressed hopes to leverage IBI’s digital platforms to enhance industrial value chains and deepen cooperation by utilizing facilitation measures such as China–Burundi Customs AEO mutual recognition.

H.E. Mr. Sinisa Berjan, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Bosnia and Herzegovina to China, shared Bosnia and Herzegovina’s advantages as a gateway to European markets, its stable currency and favorable tax policies, and highlighted cooperation opportunities in energy, mining, automotive manufacturing, ICT, agriculture, and tourism. He welcomed Chinese enterprises and investors to visit and explore opportunities for innovation-driven collaboration.

H.E. Mr. Paata Kalandadze, Ambassador of Georgia to China, cited the upgrading of the China–Georgia Free Trade Agreement and the rapid growth of bilateral trade as examples of strong cooperation momentum. He outlined Georgia’s three strategic advantages—high administrative efficiency, broad market access, and its role as a Eurasian logistics hub—and invited Chinese enterprises to use Georgia as a platform for value creation and a strategic pivot for global expansion.

Mr. Novruz Ceta, Minister-Counsellor of the Embassy of Albania in China, reviewed the long-standing friendship between China and Albania and the steady growth of bilateral trade in recent years. He noted Albania’s significant development potential in photovoltaic renewable energy, deep processing of specialty agricultural products, and port logistics. He emphasized that Albania’s industrial upgrading needs align closely with IBI’s core capabilities in platforms, supply chains, and digitalization, particularly the practical experience of the CNHUB platform in integrating cross-border resources. He invited Chinese enterprises to pay close attention to the Albanian market and expressed hopes that Albanian companies could more efficiently connect with China through IBI’s platforms to achieve complementary advantages and coordinated development.

Ms. Sabita Nakarmi, Commercial Counsellor of the Embassy of Nepal in China, pointed out Nepal’s significant potential in cross-border trade and e-commerce as a bridge between the two major economies of China and India. Nepal seeks to expand exports to China of thermally processed buffalo meat, dairy products, citrus fruits, and handicrafts, and hopes to attract Chinese investment and technology to improve processing, certification, and export capacity. She noted that by leveraging platforms such as Alibaba, JD.com, and IBI, Nepal aims to reduce its trade deficit and achieve more balanced development.

Case sharing

During the cross-border business presentation session, Mr. Zhang Wei, CEO of IBI’s CNAUTO platform, introduced the company’s cross-border business development, core competitiveness, and the empowerment practices of the Duoduo industrial e-commerce platforms in vertical industries. He shared practical insights on cooperation opportunities in areas including green energy, mineral development, agricultural processing, digital infrastructure, cross-border logistics, and SME empowerment.

Business coffee break

The subsequent business networking and tea break session was conducted in a warm and open atmosphere. CEOs and business leaders from IBI’s various Duoduo platforms engaged in targeted discussions with ambassadors and their delegations, exploring potential cooperation directions and laying a solid foundation for follow-up implementation.

The successful hosting of this high-level business dialogue marks a significant step forward for IBI in advancing its international strategy and building a cross-border industrial internet ecosystem.
