ARTICULATED TRUCK

An articulated truck is a heavy transport vehicle composed of a front section (cab and engine) and a rear section (cargo box) connected by an intermediate hinge mechanism. It features a highly flexible steering system, making it suitable for complex terrains and harsh operating conditions. It is widely used in off-road transportation scenarios such as mines, construction sites, forestry, water conservancy projects, and large-scale earthwork projects.Articulated trucks control the steering angle between the front and rear bodies through a hydraulic system, typically achieving a steering angle of 50 degrees to either side. This allows for an extremely small turning radius, making them well-suited for narrow working spaces. Compared to traditional rigid-frame trucks, articulated trucks can swing their front and rear sections relative to each other, maintaining stable travel even on slopes, uneven ground, muddy, or other complex terrains.
