Hankook Tire & Technology will launch its new high-performance 'Ventus evo' tire in South Korea on March 4, succeeding the 'Ventus S1 evo3' with enhanced braking, cornering, fuel efficiency, and mileage. Leveraging AI-optimized compounds and advanced tread design, the Ventus evo delivers superior wet and dry performance, achieving top-tier wet braking ratings domestically. A chamfered edge design improves dry braking by 6%, while optimized tread stiffness extends tire life by 2%. Already launched in Europe, North America, and the Middle East, the model supports Hankook’s global expansion. In 2024, Hankook reported strong financial growth with sales of 9.41 trillion KRW and a 32.7% rise in operating profit to 1.76 trillion KRW, driven by high-margin large-size tires. In China, 18-inch and larger tires accounted for 69.3% of sales in Q4 2024, reflecting robust demand for premium products. Similar trends were seen in Korea (57%), North America (55%), and Europe (37%), highlighting Hankook’s successful strategy in high-value segments and its growing global competitiveness.
