In December 2024, S&P Dow Jones Indices released the results of the 2024 S&P Corporate Sustainability Assessment, with Pirelli, Bridgestone, and Hankook Tire recognized in the S&P Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI). Pirelli scored 84—the highest in the automotive parts sector—retaining its top global position in both the DJSI World and Europe Indexes, driven by strong performance in business ethics, human rights, ESG management, and supply chain practices. It also aims for net zero emissions by 2040 and has introduced a new tire symbol indicating at least 50% bio-based or recycled content. Bridgestone, scoring 74, was included in the DJSI World and Asia-Pacific Indexes, reflecting its regional leadership. Hankook Tire, with a score of 78, joined the Asia-Pacific and Korea Indexes, becoming the first tire maker to earn ISCC PLUS certification, including for its iON GT model containing 77% sustainable materials. The DJSI, launched in 1999, evaluates over 13,500 companies across 62 industries, serving as a key benchmark for global sustainability performance.
