Nokian launches all-season tyre
Nokia Tyres has launched its new Seasonproof 2 all-season tyre, designed to provide a high level of safety in snow and slush, as well as summer performance. The tyre range contains up to 38% renewable, recycled and ISCC PLUS certified materials, of which 2% comes from ISCC PLUS mass balance method certified bio-based, bio-recycled and/or recycled feedstock.
Seasonproof 2 is the first tyre range produced at the tyre manufacturer’s new CO2-zero emission plant in Romania, which recently received the TTI Annual Environmental Achievement, Industry Contribution Award.
The new Seasonproof 2 is an all-season tyre developed specifically to meet the needs of drivers in Central and Southern Europe.
The range is available in sizes for modern passenger cars, SUVs and CUVs and will be available to consumers in autumn 2025. The tyres carry the 3PMSF logo, indicating that they are officially approved for winter use. “Central Europe is a key strategic growth region for Nokian Tyres.
Nokia Tire Seasonproof 2 is produced at our zero CO2 emission tire plant in Oradea, Romania, close to Central European consumers and customers.
In addition, launching a tire range that uses up to 38% renewable, recycled and ISCC PLUS certified materials brings us closer to our goal of using 50% renewable and recycled materials in tires by 2030,” said Tommi Alhola, Senior Vice President Passenger Car Tires Central Europe at Nokian Tyres.
The tire is the company’s first tire to be commercially produced with such a high percentage of renewable and recycled materials. For example, the resin and silica used in the tire come from renewable resources. Recycled materials include carbon black and steel.
These materials, available in a wide range of sizes in the product range available to consumers, also enhance the tire’s driving performance.
Giti Tire USA Inc. launches new tire
Giti Tire USA Inc. has launched the GT Radial MaxClimate all-weather tire for large touring and CUV vehicles.
RANCHO, Calif. – Giti Tire USA Inc. has introduced the GT Radial MaxClimate all-weather tire for large touring and CUV vehicles. The tire, which features the Tri-Peak Mountain Snowflake (3PMS) snow performance logo, will be available in 43 sizes covering 17- to 20-inch rims, 40- to 65-series and H/V speed ratings.
The company says the MaxClimate is designed to provide a smooth and quiet ride while offering responsive handling in wet, dry and winter conditions.

• Full-depth zigzag sipes that provide extra biting edge and traction to earn 3PMS foul-weather certification;
• Asymmetric tread design that provides handling and touring-style comfort with improved wet and snowy driving performance;
• Drainage grooves that redistribute water away from the tire contact area in wet and muddy conditions. The tire is backed by a 50,000-mile limited tread warranty, as well as a road hazard warranty, 24-hour roadside assistance and a 30-day satisfaction guarantee.
