However, AT tires are not perfect. MT tires, namely Mud Tire, are specially developed for vehicles driving on non-paved roads. Its tread pattern is extremely exaggerated, the tire blocks are huge and the pattern grooves are extremely deep. This unique design gives it unparalleled grip in harsh road conditions such as mud and swamps. The huge tire blocks can penetrate deep into the mud, providing strong driving force and traction, helping the vehicle to easily get out of trouble.
The carcass of MT tires is usually very thick and strong, with super puncture and tear resistance, and can withstand the impact and scratches of sharp objects on non-paved roads. But it is precisely because it focuses too much on off-road performance that MT tires have many problems when driving on the road.
When the huge tire blocks roll on the road, they will produce strong vibrations and huge noises, which seriously affect the driving comfort; and their rolling resistance is extremely large, which will greatly increase the fuel consumption of the vehicle, and also reduce the driving speed and handling of the vehicle.
