Dunlop Blue Response TG
On March 13, 2026, Dunlop launched its new summer passenger car tire, the "Blue Response TG," officially entering the European market. This launch marks the first new product release since Sumitomo Rubber acquired the trademark rights to Dunlop passenger car tires in Europe, North America, and Oceania in January 2025. It also signifies a crucial step in Sumitomo Rubber's strategic relaunch of Dunlop's global high-end tire market strategy and a key step in its brand unification process.
As a core product jointly developed by engineering teams in Germany and Japan, the "Blue Response TG" is manufactured at Sumitomo Rubber's Turkish plant, leveraging local manufacturing expertise and reflecting the brand's coordinated strategy across the Eurasian market.
Unlike many high-end tire manufacturers who focus on niche markets with large sizes, Dunlop's new product emphasizes "comprehensive coverage," offering 99 sizes ranging from 15 inches to 21 inches. This precisely matches various best-selling models in the European market, from family cars to high-end passenger vehicles, truly achieving a balance between high-end positioning and universal demand.
Dunlop's R&D team focused on "optimization specifically for travel scenarios," giving the "Blue Response TG" a targeted performance design. The "TG" in the tire's name is a core indicator of its long-mileage driving adaptability, maintaining a dynamic balance of comfort, handling, and safety during long journeys.
On wet roads, the dedicated tread structure quickly expels water, effectively improving grip and precisely responding to driving commands such as turning and lane changes. The lateral grooves in the shoulder area are particularly crucial, significantly reducing tread block deformation under high loads, ensuring consistent force transmission during braking and cornering, providing the driver with stable handling feedback and strengthening driving safety.
In the current era of rapid penetration of new energy vehicles, "versatility between electric and gasoline vehicles" has become one of the core competitive advantages of high-end tires. The "Blue Response TG" achieves bidirectional performance adaptation to the different needs of electric and gasoline vehicles.
Addressing the range anxiety of electric vehicles, this tire utilizes a new polymer chain material in its tread. By constructing a longer, more elastic molecular structure, it improves tire wear resistance, reduces rolling resistance, and effectively helps extend vehicle range.
For enhanced driving comfort, the lateral grooves in the tread are integrated into a continuous channel-style noise-reducing pattern, significantly reducing tire noise interference during driving and making every journey quieter and more comfortable.
This new product launch deeply echoes Dunlop's new brand declaration, "TAKING YOU BEYOND," officially established in December 2025. Around the three core values of "peace of mind supporting challenges, experiences exceeding expectations, and the potential to push limits," Sumitomo Rubber is using technological innovation to drive the continuous upgrading of the Dunlop brand value.
In the future, with the full launch of the product in the European market, Dunlop will steadily consolidate its position in the global high-end tire market with a more competitive product portfolio, continuously delivering a travel experience that exceeds expectations to consumers worldwide.
