On the evening of October 24, under the precise escort of Guangzhou Maritime Safety authorities, the vessel "Siam Curi" loaded with over 2,300 new energy commercial vehicles departed smoothly from Guangzhou Xinsha Port, bound for Australia.

According to the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, China's automobile exports will exceed 10 million units in 2026, with new energy vehicles becoming an important engine of export growth. As the largest automobile import and export port in South China, Guangzhou Xinsha Port is also a key gateway for NEVs to sail overseas.

To ensure safe vessel arrival and operations, Guangzhou Maritime authorities proactively provided services, opened a "green channel," accelerated approval speed, and scientifically arranged vessel entry and exit schedules. They continuously strengthened communication and coordination with pilotage, terminals, and ship parties, jointly developing and improving warning and emergency mechanisms. A "patrol vessel + video surveillance + drone" three-dimensional patrol and monitoring model was adopted to provide precise escort for the vessel.

At the same time, they reviewed operational plans in advance, focusing on fire emergency measures and vehicle securing and lashing conditions, continuously strengthening on-site safety reminders, urging enterprises to check NEV battery conditions and implement operational safety protection measures item by item, safeguarding the bottom line of water safety.

Since the beginning of this year, Guangzhou Xinsha Port's automobile exports have maintained strong growth momentum. From January to October, the port cumulatively completed 180,000 complete vehicle exports, a year-on-year increase of approximately 234%, with annual exports expected to exceed 220,000 units.
