Changsha-Built Ultra-High Horsepower Hybrid Tractor Lands in Northeast Farmland — World's Largest Wheel-Mounted Hybrid Tractor Delivered
At the 2026 Heilongjiang International Agricultural Machinery Exhibition held from September 19 to 21, Zoomlion's DX7004 hybrid tractor completed its first unit delivery. A large-scale grower from Harbin received the "golden key" to the high-horsepower agricultural machine from the company's leadership. With a dual-motor rated power of 700 horsepower and peak power of 1,200 horsepower, it is currently the world's largest wheel-mounted hybrid tractor. The first delivery marks the transition of domestically produced ultra-high horsepower new energy agricultural machinery from R&D to mass production application.
Heilongjiang has vast arable land and a high proportion of large-scale farming, demanding strict requirements for the reliability, operating costs, and intelligence of high-horsepower equipment. Huo Xiaofeng, Deputy General Manager of Zoomlion Agricultural Machinery, delivered the vehicle to the first customer. The company stated that the first unit will be used for deep plowing, heavy harrowing, and large-scale complex operations in Northeast farmland, validating the hybrid system's fuel efficiency and maintenance performance under prolonged, high-intensity conditions.
The DX7004 adopts a hybrid power architecture independently developed by Zoomlion, with core components and control systems entirely self-developed. Its proprietary power-coupled transmission design enables continuously variable speed regulation for both driving and operating modes. Equipped with the EPiot intelligent driving system and AOS intelligent operation system based on Beidou high-precision positioning, it maintains centimeter-level accuracy even during high-speed operations. Benchmarked against international counterparts of equivalent horsepower, the official fuel saving rate is 10%–40%, with operating efficiency improved by approximately 15%. The continuous operating area in 12 hours can reach 7,200 mu (approximately 480 hectares).
The model rolled off the production line at Zoomlion's Smart Industrial City in Changsha in September 2025 and passed the scientific and technological achievement appraisal by the China Machinery Industry Federation in January 2026. The expert panel concluded that its ultra-high horsepower intelligent hybrid key technologies have reached an internationally leading level overall. Zoomlion stated that the first delivery represents a milestone in the agricultural machinery division's push toward "high-end, international, and new energy" directions. Going forward, the company will refine its service network around large-scale farming scenarios in Northeast and Northwest China, and extend the hybrid continuously variable transmission technology to more horsepower segments.
