Zhuhai Gaolan Port Achieves First Breakthrough in Containerized New Energy Vehicle Export

On the afternoon of September 22, the Zhuhai Economic and Technological Development Zone's Gaolan Port International Container Terminal achieved its first breakthrough in containerized new energy vehicle exports. A total of 1,408 domestically produced new energy vehicles completed container loading and boarding operations, and the cargo vessel slowly set sail for Vitoria Port in Brazil, a Belt and Road partner country.

This project involves a total of 2,807 domestically produced new energy vehicles destined for South America, with a total cargo value of approximately 290 million yuan. The terminal operator expects the second batch of vehicles to be organized for shipment by the end of the month.

In recent years, an increasing number of "Made in China" new energy vehicles have been exported overseas. According to Gongbei Customs, from January to August this year, enterprises under the Gongbei Customs jurisdiction exported 32 million yuan worth of vehicles (including chassis), of which 14 million yuan went to Belt and Road partner countries.

Last year, the Gaolan Port direct shipping route to Brazil was opened, significantly improving logistics efficiency and reducing cargo transit risks and capital occupation costs.
