In the "Tenth Five-Year Plan", Hunan Province focuses on the layout of "three vertical and five horizontal" comprehensive transportation corridors, aiming to improve the modern comprehensive transportation system. The plan emphasizes deep integration into the main framework of the national comprehensive three-dimensional transportation network. By connecting the Hunan and Xiamen-Chongqing corridors, expanding the Beijing-Hong Kong-Macao and Shanghai-Kunming corridors, and upgrading the Jiaoliu and Xianggui corridors, the internal and external connectivity of the backbone corridors will be enhanced, and the level of access to economic regions such as Guangdong, Hong Kong, Macao, Yangtze River Delta, Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei and Chengdu-Chongqing will be improved. At the same time, Hunan will build a multi-level three-dimensional transportation network, coordinate the construction of railways, highways, water transportation, and aviation, promote the "county-to-county" of expressways, the upgrading of rural roads, the construction of high-grade waterways and port systems, and build a "one hub, two trunk and eight" "Branch" airport route system. In addition, the plan also focuses on expanding international trade channels. By connecting the new Eurasian Continental Bridge, the new land and sea channel in the west, the port group of Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao, and the ports in the Yangtze River Basin, the plan will build a "three-dimensional sea going" pattern to enhance Hunan's international logistics and economic and trade cooperation capabilities.
