"Penglai-Senegal"! Yantai Port's new general cargo route smoothly connects to West Africa.
Recently, the "Ocean Treasure" ship arrived at the Penglai port area of Yantai Port in Shandong Province. After loading 333 engineering vehicles, it set sail for Senegal. Leveraging the new "Penglai-Senegal" general cargo channel, Yantai Port continues to increase the shipment volume of engineering equipment, further strengthening the cargo matrix of general cargo routes bound for West Africa and helping "Made in China" set sail for international markets.
As a general cargo base of Shandong Port and a logistics hub port for general cargo in northern China, Yantai Port is focused on its core positioning as a "global-oriented logistics hub port for general cargo." It leverages its advantages in specialized equipment, technology, teams, and services to continuously build platforms, expand cargo sources, and streamline channels, weaving a robust supply chain network between domestic manufacturing points and overseas demand hubs.

During business expansion, Yantai Port Penglai Port Company collaborated with engineering equipment manufacturing enterprises, port authorities, and shipping companies to combine resources effectively, linking the production, multimodal transport, port transshipment, and other critical stages seamlessly. This has established a one-stop logistics solution encompassing "cargo collection, port storage, short-haul operations, customs inspection and clearance, loading and allocation, ship dispatch, and docking." This initiative promotes engineering machinery from production bases to the port front line and directly to overseas markets, achieving smooth end-to-end integration. This model not only continues to diversify the pathways for Chinese equipment to go overseas but also significantly reduces port downtime for ships, lowers overall logistics costs for enterprises, and enhances the stability and efficiency of cross-border supply chains.

Before the "Ocean Treasure" ship arrived at the port, Penglai Port Company proactively planned and intervened in advance, coordinating yard resources and port entry channels to allocate ample storage and short-haul operation space for the 333 engineering vehicles. During the operations, supported by the Penglai Customs, maritime authorities, and border inspection units, the company thoroughly coordinated and scheduled the processes. A specialized task force for cargo loading and allocation was established, and a tailored operation plan for each vessel was formulated. By strategically allocating production resources and continuously optimizing port entry and loading procedures, this shipment achieved outstanding results: daytime and nighttime operational efficiency reached 9,729 cubic meters, single-line daytime and nighttime ship loading volume reached 3,243 cubic meters, and hourly cabin efficiency was at 147 cubic meters. The overall operational efficiency and hourly cabin output have been significantly improved, setting a new record for similar engineering machinery loading operations in the port area.
