"Winning Aspiration" ship docks first, Yantai Port sets a new record for single-ship bauxite unloading.
On September 21, the ultra-large ore carrier "Winning Ambition," loaded with 320,000 tons of Guinean bauxite, completed unloading operations at the West Port Area of Yantai Port in Shandong, setting a new record for single-ship bauxite unloading at Yantai Port.
This vessel is the first ship of the WINNING MAX Sirius series by Winning International Group, and it docked at Yantai Port for the first time after its delivery in June this year. Equipped with a methanol fuel tank, shaft generator, and high-voltage shore power system, it is a green ultra-large ore carrier (VLOC) designed for zero-carbon shipping, combining energy efficiency improvements with green and low-carbon advantages, setting a model example for building an efficient, low-carbon, and stable global mineral supply chain.
Before receiving the ship, Yantai Port proactively communicated and coordinated with port authorities to optimize customs clearance procedures, tailored a "one ship, one policy" operational plan, scientifically allocated production resources, and relied on "full-system, full-process, fully automated" specialized dry bulk terminal control technology. The entire unloading operation was completed within two days and nights, achieving a new high in unloading efficiency and earning high recognition from shipowners and cargo owners alike.
This operation marks a further upgrade and capacity expansion of the China-Africa logistics golden corridor. As the departure port of this corridor, the Guinean port area managed by Yantai Port has accumulated over 500 million tons of ore exports. From January to August this year, Yantai Port's bauxite throughput exceeded 100 million tons, effectively ensuring the stable supply of raw materials for the domestic aluminum industry.
